Leaning leadership and management of teams
Laura Hallett, Head of Strategic Projects and Change,
York St. John University
Our own success depends upon the ability of our teams. We need to seize the opportunity to empower and engage our staff to achieve the vision in place within our organisations. Successful leadership requires exceptional people. Exceptional leaders need a toolkit of techniques and ideas to lead with impact and make excellent use of the time available.
This practical workshop will showcase leadership and management tools which draw on lean. From reducing waste in team meetings, to ensuring you fully utilise the talent of your team, this session will provide you with takeaways to apply back in the office the very next day! Best of all? Each of the techniques and ideas shared will save you and your team time.
The session will use the DMAIC phases of Six Sigma to introduce attendees to six tools that save time alongside improving leadership and management. Following a visual showcase of the tools and techniques, attendees will work in small groups to undertake a workplace simulation and test the takeaways showcased. Each group will feedback their application of the tool to the group, allowing time for reflections, refinement and additional questions.
The session will be fast, fun and fact-based.
