Mindset is critical
to behavior change,
so we've included worksheets, activities, tools and more to help children and families change their paradigms about intelligence, grit, resilience, success, independent effort, and intention.
1. Mindset
3. Collaboration
Long-term changes in thinking and behavior can occur only with the installation of new habits and cultivation of new paradigms.
That's where parents come in!
Generally, children don't receive feedback well from their parents - studies show that's because parents do a poor job of delivering the right kind of feedback. So, we've borrowed from science to develop parent blueprints and scripts to make collaboration a positive experience for all involved. In doing so, families often achieve a shift in thinking about the benefits of feedback and develop new collaborative family cultures that can last a lifetime. Furthermore, since one of the brain's functional processing drivers derives from a need to feel as if one "belongs," collaboration is a strategy to meet that need. Finally, collaboration has been identified as a leading transferrable skill by leading business leaders and economists. Who knew giving brain-based feedback could be so powerful?
2. Habits
Training holds no
value without habit
installation, and
since our mission is
to install the knowledge, skills, tools, and routines of Master Performers, we need students to adopt new habits. Science tells us the best way to modify behavior is through the use of a well-orchestrated Feedback Loop Process. We've bridged from the science to build an evidenced-based and practical plan with parent scripts, feedback schedules, worksheets and more, so that the training sticks!
