Nationalist movements of Mexico, Japan, and Germany
Napolean was Prussians king, made the first 39 states. Fought and lost in Leipzig and in Waterloo (1813). Ended the confederation of Whine. Napolean was then kicked out which shaped a German identity.
1813 - 1815
Prussia got control of Industrial land on River Rhine. Other German states joined and become know as the Zollverein alliance.
A revolution spread across Europe. Successful in France but not much change in Germany.
Emporerer Komei issues the "Order to Expel Barbarians". Results in attacks on foreigners and foreign ships, which ends in retaliation from foreign forces in Japan.
Porfirio Diaz began his 2nd term as president of Mexico and modified the revolution to stay in power.
The Meiji constitution was put in place. This created Japan to be a modern nation while deserving the Western's respect.
Russo-Japanese War: Japan defeated Russia and made them realize how strong Japan was getting.
Porfirio Diaz runs for election again but when Francisco I. Madero enters the race, he puts Madero in Jail and wins the election.
