British Columbia lead the country in job creation for April 2016 with 13,000 new positions. Full time positions increased by 21,400 and part time positions decreased by 8400. Most of the jobs created were in the private sector (+19,000). This is the first time since comparable data has been available (1976) that BC has the lowest unemployment rate in Canada.
