During the Holocaust
In the start, rules for Jews were getting stricter. Otto was in Amsterdam, running his business, when his wife gets a notice for signing up for labor camps. They decided to go into hiding. Otto had known some people not too far from his store, and they helped. they hid in a attic that was behind a secret door, hidden as a bookshelf. Otto hid there with 3 other people, his wife, Anne and Margot. Unfortunately, they were caught years later and were all taken to German camps. Margot and Anne died in their camps from Typhus fever. Edith died of Starvation. Nobody survived... except Otto.
After The Holocaust
After Hitler Committed Suicide, and all of the prisoners in labor camps were released by the allies, Otto returned to the hiding place. While there he found a lot of thinks, one of which is Anne's diary. He was heartbroken, but decided to share the diary to the world. The diary showed so much, and moved so many. Sadly, on August 19, 1980, he died of lung cancer.
