SYNTHESIS OF THE STUDY
Our study about the reviewed related literature is all about looking way back in the past. Gathering data and ideas on what suicide really means and what is the equivalent payment for killing yourself. Many studies showed that suicide is an irrational act of hurting, harming or injuring yourself. Religions are also included in this study; most of the religions find this kind of phenomenon a mortal sin, since killing yourself has never been supported by any other religions except for the Christianity who opposed to suicide and assisted suicide. According to one study, females are more likely to attempt suicide, but males are four times more likely to die from suicide. On the other hand, there is a difference between the laws of suicide among the religions and law makers. In every religion in the world, suicide is a mortal sin of killing your own self, while in the human laws ,there is a so-called assisted suicide which indicates that a member of family assisting one member of the family to die. Nowadays, self harm is one of the common behaviors of youth. Some of the causes of these kinds of behavior are mental breakdown, anxiety, mental problems, etc. Therefore, we could say that one of the best way to prevent teenagers from harming and injuring themselves is consulting and talking to them while we have an extra time. Spend most of your time guiding them instead of shouting nonsense that can cause anxiety.
The study will be using qualitative research which is focused on Suicidal Youth. This research will include the selected Grade 11 Students. In this study, the researchers will be using the Case Study as the research design. A case study is a research methodology, typically seen in the social and life sciences. A case study has also been described as an intensive, systematic investigation of a single individual, group, community or some other unit in which the researcher examines in-depth data related to several variables. The objective of the study is to know how suicidal thoughts begin and how it eventually lead to suicidal actions. It also has the aim to explore the perspective of adolescents directly involved in suicidal acts and to know some information about the suicidal youth.
DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE
The researchers will be doing three techniques in order to gather information. The first will be by indirect method or questionnaire method wherein the researchers will give questionnaires to the respondents in person. By doing so, the researchers will have a 95% confidence level that all respondents will be able to answer the survey. But before the data-collecting happens, the respondents will be given an orientation on the procedure of the research and what it is all about in which they will be given enough time in order to be able to answer the questions properly. On the other hand, while the first method is being implemented, observation takes place. As the last method, the researchers will be conducting the direct or interview method which will provide efficient answer and results that can help in determining if the respondents are suicidal without clinical basis or not.
