Why the Obvius?
Obvius originates from the Roman derivation of accessible.
The Latin word “obvius” is from “Ob” meaning before and “Via” meaning way.
This literally translates as “being on the way” or “accessible.”

Methodology
Obvius Access can provide Disability Discrimination Act access audits and access appraisals. These include streetscapes, transport infrastructure and buildings. We use a DDA checklist to prepare DDA reports in either a tabular or narrative format.
We are proficient in AutoCAD2017 software and have extensive experience in CAD drafting. We can create DDA design solutions and have provided several DDA compliant designs for buildings and infrastructure for local government.
We can also facilitate training on DDA matters relating to access to premises, transport, access to goods and services and the hierarchy of legislations, including Acts and sub-ordinate legislation.
Our consultants are proud to have provided such training to local governments and professional membership organisations as part of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training.
