For many years, Harvester has traveled to Queretaro to be a part of the spring graduation. We are able to assist in the program while encouraging the graduates, faculty and staff.  We will also partner with a local church that is being led by an alum of the college. Our home base will be the UCM campus with day travel into the community. Queretaro has a rich historical footprint in Mexico - a beautiful city. You will also enjoy spending some time with the team wandering the marketplace in the city square.

Monterrey, Mexico

Iglesias De Christo Church

This will be our second team trip to Monterrey partnering with Samuel and Miriam Velez.  They lead the Iglesias De Christo Church in Monterrey which is experiencing great growth in number and influence to the community.  They are working on a building program and it may be in full swing while we are there – or it may not be.  As time gets a little closer, we will determine if this will be a construction trip or a teaching and encouraging trip.

Our long time Global Partners Marcus and Ann Pearson have developed an incredible ministry in Nicaragua of opening new schools and churches. We will travel to Nicaragua in June with a focus on encouraging these church and school leaders in times and settings of worship and renewal. If you are musically inclined or are very detail oriented, this is a great trip to experience. 

In October we are planning our first medical trip on the Rio Prinzapolca River from Alamikamba to where the river empties into the Caribbean Sea.  Many Harvesterites have been with Marcus Pearson on the Rio Prinzapolca River as we have traveled to share the Jesus film with the local villages along the river. This is our first chance to take this much needed physical gift of wellness to them to reinforce the spiritual gift of the Gospel message that we have been able to share over the years. This will be our first team trip to Dos Caminos. We partner there with Samuel and Brisia Coto at the Dos Caminos Christian Church. Samuel and Brisia are committed leaders and have a great vision for this church. Joy and I were with them in Dos Caminos just a few months ago to hear their heart for the community. They have developed a ministry to married couples that is unique for their region. Benny and Tijuanna Bryant and the HCC team will work with them to hold a marriage conference in their church. This town of 800 people is a close-knit community of families. I cannot help but  expect the message of Jesus to spread and be accepted rapidly throughout this community.  In addition to the marriage conference, the team will hold a three-day Bible program for the children.

Our church partnerships in Haiti are thriving. We have been praying for revival in several of the small communities around the Port au Prince area. Last summer, a Harvester team traveled to these churches for the purpose of praying over their pastors and the community, asking God to use us to spread His message.  This trip is being planned to share the gospel message revival style. It will be a demanding trip: physically, mentally and spiritually. The team will be there to assist in logistics and serve as pray warriors, asking God’s power and protection over these revival meetings.  We will monitor the political unrest in the country and postpone the trip if necessary. Please pray that there will be no barriers that will keep these revival meetings from happening.

We are planning to travel to Delmas, Haiti and partner with Ambassadors of Christ to Haiti to reach out to the families in the community. There are five churches in the region that we are blessed to be a part of. We will take a VBS program to two or more of these churches.

A Haitian wedding has much cultural pomp and circumstance.  For a Haitian couple to have a cultural wedding is very significant in their life; however, the costs of even the basics of a marriage certificate is not affordable. Harvester has been fortunate to partner with the local churches and help these couples do what is right in the sight of God as well as their culture. Over the years, we have traveled with wedding dresses and suits and many other important wedding essentials.  Each year there are four weddings – this year they will take place in October and we will be there to celebrate with these couples.

For many years, Harvester has traveled to Port au Prince to host a soccer clinic in the town of Tabbarre. The young boys that came to these clinics heard the message of Jesus and now, as young men, are following God’s call on their lives. Last year we moved our efforts just a few miles away to the town of Delmas. That is where we met Coach Lopez and his young team of boys on a rocky soccer field, just walking distance from where we were staying. God orchestrated a soccer clinic and tournament beyond our wildest imaginations. This year, we will continue this new relationship with Coach Lopez and see what God has in His plans.
