Alexander Graham created the first telephone in the 1800s but it was developed in the early 1600s.

In 1837 Samuel Morse developed his own electrical telegraph. In 1838 Morse sent America the first telegraph.
The first coin operated pay phone was invented by William Gray. The pay phone was first installed in hartford bank.
The first cordless phone was made in 1965. Cordless phones started to hit the market in the 1970s.
