In the early hours of the morning two pirates kidnap Anne Bonny from Calico Jack, Upon finding out, Calico Jack searches the dawning mist far and wide, a ship of bloodthirsty pirates by his side. However, tales speak of a creature that is far more terrifying than Jack and his crew. We know it as 'the Kraken'
Sea mist is a stunning 10 minute stereoscopic 360 VR adventure written and filmed to take VR users on a compelling journey. As an experience, there are very few available that can match its intensity, originality and visual satisfaction.
In this film, we’re dealing with characters based on real people. Our main aim in the beginning was coming up with a script that had a strong, immersive story for the viewer. We have used elements such as sound and real world movements to trigger a story change, allowing the viewer to use their own sense and peripherals to continue the search. During our pre-production we started to form a script that was heavily based on ‘experience’, because the truth is, in VR we can go anywhere we want, and that is what consumers want, they want to be taken on a journey.
HOME ENTERTAINMENT Virtual reality video content will generate revenues of $8.2bn* by 2020. Consumers are hungry for high-quality content and current content is modestly entertaining at best.
LOCATION BASED INTERTAINMENT
LBE in North America alone boasts a revenue of over $362m in 2018* Forecasting a North America only revenue of over $2b by the year 2020* LBE spending includes all out-of-home vr entertainment operations including ones at entertainment centers, standard arcades, cinemas, Theme parks, tourism, pop-ups, and others.
Distribution for Sea Mist mainly surrounds the already available VR platforms out there. Market places such as these provide an easy and effective pathway to VR users around the world, with the majority of successful films readily available for quick access.
SEA MIST is an experience that fits the model for both Home and LBE. It's a film where the environment moves around us, providing an opportunity to build a VR set that physically places the viewer in the dimension they're exploring.
The most comparable film is 'The Blu'. It's an experience only, like sea mist. The Blu is a fantastic example of what VR can achieve, its proven itself in places like the Sundance film festival & generating over a $1 million in revenue.

In order to make this project at it's highest quality, we have taken a slow, conservative approach, making sure all technical issues were resolved before shooting started.
The VFX team has been in production for months already. Sketching, building and creating the intricate parts of our imaginary world.
With all live action complete and everything in place, we are now looking to raise additional funding to complete post-production and distribution.
With $40k already invested in the project, we are now looking to raise $170.000 to finish Sea Mist and bring it to audiences world wide. The majority of the raised funds will go to post-production where as the rest will go to marketing & distribution.
