Inspired by the future of your career in tech? This year, Pentasia surveyed over 850 professionals asking for their take on big tech trends and personal career plans.

Thanks to all those who completed the survey! Here are the results...
THE RESULTS #AMBITIONS2018
With eyes on the prize, ambitious professionals are actively seeking exposure to skills that will get them involved with the biggest tech trends. Those who can add autonomous decision-making, Ethereum or machine learning to their CV, for example, will be on the up and up.
WE ASKED: "Which of these tech trends most interests you
for your career?"
The potential to re-write your own career path has never been stronger. Tech professionals are learning hard-skills in cloud computing, statistical analysis and new programming languages as well as leadership skills, to stay ahead.

Developers and designers tend to be happiest. Why? “The work itself evolves with the times and I know there’s demand for my skills.” By contrast, marketers recorded the lowest job satisfaction, citing “low promotional prospects and a lack of investment in training.”

Managers like to think money is the key motivator when hiring, but what professionals value most is “interesting work.” Ultimately, it’s this that enables candidates to fulfil their ambitions - so managers who can tap into this demand will undoubtedly find greater success in hiring.
