The difference between chemical and physical properties of matter
Physical properties are properties that can be measured , they can be observed without changing the substances identity.
Chemical Properties are proprties that when going through a chemical reaction, it changes the substances's identity completely.
Some examples of physical properties are color, density, volume, mass, boiling point, and melting point .
Some examples of chemical properties are reactivity, solubility, flammability, and chemical composition.
Chemical properties are found in different chemical changes. Chemical changes are changes that change the substance into something new.
Physical properties are included in certain physical changes as well. Physical change is a change that usually just changes the appearance of the substance instead of changing the identity, like a chemical change.
A very good example of a chemical change is burning wood.
Now a great example of a physical change would be an ice cube melting
These are the differences between physical and chemical properties, and chemical and physical changes.
