veg·an ˈvēɡən/ noun a person who does not eat or use animal products.
"Dairy farms are nice to the cows"
Cows produce milk to feed/nourish THEIR young, just like humans do
A new Mercy For Animals investigation used a hidden camera in Willet Dairy Farm (biggest dairy farm in New York)-
"Cows with bloody open wounds, prolapsed uterus's, pus-filled infections, and swollen joints.
-Sick/Injured cows left to suffer for weeks before dying or being killed -Workers hitting, kicking, punching, and electric-shocking cows and calves -Calves having their horns burned off without painkillers, as a worker shoved his fingers into the calves' eyes to restrain them. -Newborn calves forcibly dragged away from their mothers by their legs, causing emotional distress to both mother and calf -Cows living in overcrowded sheds on manure-coated concrete flooring."

What we want people to understand....
"Vegans are mean"
Imagine if there was a dog farm, where dogs were brutally killed and sold for food, how would you feel? Pigs/cows feel the same pain.
"Vegans only eat grass and bland food"
"One person won't make a difference"
You’d save more water by not eating one pound of beef than not showering for 6 months
Switching to a meat/dairy free diet saves 50% more carbon emissions than to stop driving a normal car
Hundreds of millions of people around the world are dying from hunger BUT 70 percent of the grain grown in the United States is fed to livestock. Even animals in poor countries are fed grains to produce meat and dairy. More than 700 million tons of food goes into animal agriculture every single year, which could instead be used to end hunger
2,500 gallons of water+12 pounds of grain+35 pounds of topsoil+one gallon of gasoline=one pound of feedlot beef.
What we want people to understand about slaughterhouses.....
Chickens are in huge, overcrowded sheds while being packed in by the thousands and forced to live on filthy, manure-laden flooring.
"Undercover video recorded by an animal rights activist at one of the largest U.S. pork producers shows pigs being beaten and dragged across the slaughterhouse floor as workers cheer and throw blood-soaked towels at one another.... .....posted to YouTube on Wednesday, shows pigs covered in feces and riddled with puss-filled sores headed for the production line. It also shows numerous pigs that appear to be conscious and shaking in pain as they are being slaughtered. Federal law requires livestock to be stunned before they are killed." What makes us different and what do we have in common?
-no animals killed
-no cows milk (almond/soy/etc milk)
-Vegan diets significantly reduce the risk of cancers (according to The American Association for Cancer)
