Theodore “Ted” Robert Cowell was born in Burlington, He was raised by his grandparents in Pennsylvania and grew up thinking his mom was his older sister.

1951 His mother got married to Johnny Bundy and he legally adopted Ted as his own, changing his name to Ted Bundy.

1974 First know attack: in January he broke into the apartment of Karen Sparks, a University of Washington student, while she slept, and beat her before sexually assaulting her. Though she was in a coma for 10 days following the attack, she survived but has lived ever since with permanent disabilities.
First know murder: in February 1974 he broke into the apartment of Lynda Ann Healy, another University of Washington student, beat her, and then abducted her
In 1974 Bundy met Carole Ann Boone that summer, and the two began dating. Meanwhile, he was still seeing Elizabeth Kloepfer and the women did not know about the other.
In 1974 Ted moves to Salt Lake City to enroll at the University of Utah Law School, A month later women in the area began to disappear 1st known women murdered in Utah was Nancy Wilcox, than 2 weeks later Melissa Smith.
On November 8, 1974, Bundy attempted to kidnap Carol DaRonch
Hometown girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, began piecing together things on Ted and she reported him to the police — multiple times, in August, November, and December of 1974.
In august 1975 Bundy was arrested for the first time but they had no substantial evidence to keep him so he was released

In 1975 September, Bundy sold his car because the cops were on his tail, when cops seized the car they found strands of hair from multiple women and was arrested in October, but was later released on bail.
September 2, he raped and strangled a still-unidentified hitchhiker in Idaho
October 2, he seized 16-year-old Nancy dragged her into a wooded area,he raped her and then releasing her; but he strangled her—accidentally, he said—in the process of trying to silence her screams.
October 18, Melissa Anne Smith disappeared after leaving a pizza parlor. Her nude body was found in a nearby mountainous area nine days later.
October 31, Laura Ann Aime, also 17, disappeared after leaving a café just after midnight. Her naked body was found by hikers 9 on Thanksgiving Day.
January 1975, Bundy returned to Seattle after his final exams
January 12, a 23-year-old registered nurse named Caryn Eileen Campbell disappeared while walking. Her nude body was found a month later next to a dirt road just outside the resort. She had been killed by blows to her head from a blunt instrument
March 15 Julie Cunningham, 26, disappeared while walking from her apartment
April 6, Denise Lynn Oliverson, 25, disappeared
May 6, Bundy lured 12-year-old Lynette Dawn Culver he drowned and then sexually assaulted her in his hotel room before disposing of her body in a river north of Pocatello.
On June 28, Susan Curtis vanished from the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo. Curtis' murder became Bundy's last confession, tape-recorded moments before he entered the execution chamber. The bodies of Wilcox, Kent, Cunningham, Oliverson, Culver, and Curtis were never recovered.

August 16, 1975, Bundy was arrested by Utah Highway Patrol officer Bob Hayward in Granger
June 7, 1977 reliminary hearing. He had elected to serve as his own attorney, During a recess, he asked to visit the courthouse's law library to research his case, he opened a window and jumped from the second story, spraining his right ankle as he landed.
June 10, he broke into a camping trailer on Maroon Lake
June 13, he stole a car at the edge of Aspen Golf Course, he drove back into Aspen, where two police officers noticed his car weaving in and out of its lane and pulled him over. He had been a fugitive for six days.
December 30, Bundy piled books and files in his bed, covered them with a blanket to simulate his sleeping body, and climbed into the crawl space.
December 31, the jail's skeleton crew did not discover the escape until noon on December 31, more than 17 hours later. By then Bundy was already in Chicago
January 2 in a local tavern, he watched his alma mater UW defeat Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

January 8, arrived in Tallahassee, Florida. January 15, 1978 Bundy entered sorority house. Beginning at about 2:45 a.m. he bludgeoned Margaret Bowman, 21, with a piece of oak firewood as she slept.
February 8, Bundy drove east to Jacksonville, in a stolen FSU van. In a parking lot he approached 14-year-old Leslie Parmenter, but retreated when Parmenter's older brother arrived and challenged him.
February 12, Bundy stole a car and fled Tallahassee
February15, around 1:00 am, he was stopped by Pensacola police officer David Lee near the Alabama state line
1989 Bundy dead, was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison
