What Is Symbiosis?
Sybiosis is a relashinship between two organisms living together in which at least one benefits
What is mutualism?
Mutualism is a symbiosis in which both organisms benefit.
A human and a tree
A human and a tree is an example of a mutualism because a human inhales oxygen and exhales carbon dioxide. A tree takes in carbon dioxide and one of its waste products is oxygen.
Or a clown fish and a sea anemone
A clown fish is immune to an anemone's stings so when threatened will swim into a nearby anemone. If a predator swims into the anemone it will get stung and be eaten by the anemone.
What is commensalism
Commensalism is symbiosis in which one organism benefits and the other is not harmed
A tree and a bear
A human and a bear is and example of commensalism. A bear scratches it self on the tree and the tree is unaffected.
A Mourning dove and a tree
A Mourning dove builds is one bird that builds its nest in s tree. the tree is not effected by this
What is parasiteism
parasitism is a symbiosis in which one organism benefits and the other is harmed
A mosquito and a human
A mosquito drinks our blood from our veins which harms us.
A cuckoo bird and another bird's eggs
A cuckoo bird will lay eggs in another birds nest, push out some of the other eggs and trick the mother into feeding their baby. this harms the baby eggs
