the leading international film production company behind a host of ground-breaking prestige movies, including “McQueen” and “Churchill,” has developed SALON X
a Securitised Token Offering (STO).
SALON X is designed to dramatically enhance the profitability of movie investments and finally open this opportunity up to a wider audience. The SALON X token is a digital shareholding in SALON X ICO Ltd. The capital raised through this issuance will serve as working capital for the firm’s entire production slate of movies. The digital token behaves exactly like a traditional equity offering, with its value derived from the underlying value of SALON X ICO Ltd, movie royalties, and dividends.
INVESTMENT SECURITY & LIQUIDITY
Traditionally, investors in film may have chosen to finance a specific movie. However, with SALON X, the token holder will be participating in the financing of a whole slate of future movies - not just a single project – thereby benefiting from a diversity of projects, and the performance and distribution cycles of a portfolio of movies.
The structure of the token solves the three main problems intrinsic to traditional movie investing:
SALON X is working in tandem with Nivaura, an FCA authorised firm, currently pioneering the listing of security tokens on exchanges. This means investors will be able to benefit from the ability to immediately liquidate or speculate in a regulated secondary market.
The security of the investment: how has the risk been mitigated?
SALON X is innovating by applying blockchain technology ("smart contracts”) to make the system fairer and transparent for the investor by programming the investor terms, called "Programmable Equity" - this means in practical terms that trust is built into the system; sales and profits are recorded and accessible to the investors at any time and dividends are paid automatically.
How liquid is my investment, should I want to sell?
How can I trust the system and receive dividends?
Banking a minimum of 50% in pre-sales from international distributors.
THE BUSINESS MODEL
SALON X will secure its working capital by ensuring that the market value of a movie is a minimum of 100% of its cost. Furthermore SALON X will mitigate the risk on its working capital, ensuring that a minimum of 75% of a movie’s cost is in place before investing. Furthermore, the investment is spread across a portfolio of assets: the film slate.
Securing a 25% minimum of federal and regional film tax credits.
Ensuring the remaining 25% equity position is secured against a minimum 200% valuation (of unsold rights) on this gap.
The valuation on “unsold distribution rights” will always be calculated by a Triple-A rated international sales agent, these estimates being internationally bankable.
The investor sees a potential benefit from three sources.
Immediate liquidity in sale or trade of tokens on the secondary market, the value should increase as SALON X continuously recycles the capital to create ever more assets.
An equal share in the royalties in perpetuity, through each of the movie’s cycles, across the slate of movies.
Dividends from the core business profits, as a shareholder in SALON X, each year the fund replenishes itself as an exponential capital pool for production.
Here are a select few of the slate of fifteen movies to be produced by SALON X, which have all been developed and rights acquired:
“Bowie”, the 1971 set David Bowie origins story biopic.
“Audrey”, the LaLa Land-style fairytale musical about Audrey Hepburn.
“Mad Bastard”, action movie already financed by Millennium with a budget of $25m.
“Rudolph”, a Whiskey-soaked James Bond for a new generation.
“Brilliant Chang”, the true story of 1920s England’s biggest Chinese drug baron.
