Fiestas that includes traditional music and fun attractions. many people dance to the virgin Mary and people walk on there knees on the stone street leading to the Basilica asking for miracles and giving thanks. Fiestas start after mass ceremony.
Describe the origins of the holiday.
A indigenous man was walking towards the hill of Tepeyac when a women with dark hair who looked indigenous as well appeared, she ordered Juan Diego to go to the bishop and ask him to build a church at the hill. The bishop didn't believe him and ignored his petition. then the Virgin Mary told him to get flowers at the top of the hill in December he was surprised to see flowers. He then took the flowers and an image of the Virgin Mary seeing both he realized he was telling the truth and the Basilica was built at the top of the Tepeyac hill in Mexico City.

Tamales, Atoles, Chicken, Tacos, Gorditas, Pozole, Pan Dulce (Sweet Bread) and many other traditional foods.
