Mary's Theory was conducted on three principals; Conflict resolution through integration, genuine power is not "coercive", True leaders don't use personal power they rather use group power.
Chester Barnard the American business executive wrote the book "The Functions of the Executive". This book has similar ideas as Mary's and Lillian but at an executive level. The book talks about "the theory of cooperation and organization" also "the study of the functions and of the methods of operation of the executive in formal organizations".
