Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was also known as the Proclamation Line of 1763. On October 7,1763,it was issued by King George III, that settlers were prohibited to move or cross west of the Appalachian mountains, in order to "prevent further conflict between colonists and natives". Although, it was just fought for that land to be won in the French and Indian war. This order angered the colonists.
Salutary Neglect Ending
Salutary neglect was a long-standing unwritten policy that consisted of Britain leaving the colonies to trade and have more self-control. Therefore when it ended in 1763, it caused an upset with colonists as Britain came back in with taxes, laws and more after allowing the colonists to basically self-govern. Britain was trying to control colonies that had grown to control themselves leading to upset and the onset of major changes and causes leading to the American Revolution.
Sugar, Currency and Stamp Act
These "acts" or moreso taxes were put in place in 1764-1765 in effort to earn money back to help pay the debt off from the French and Indian war. The colonists were upset with this as taxes were imposed on them out of nowhere! This was the start of British enforcing their policies heavily again.
