"Those people, groups and organisations who are interested in, affected by, or who can influence the achievement of the University's goals"
It is very important to keep up
relationships with Stakeholders as
they allow for the University to grow
and develop within the Local and
wider National and International
does it really matter...
To set out how we work with our stakeholders
SO WHY ARE WE DOING THIS
To know who our stakeholders are
To know who is responsible for keeping relationships with individual stakeholders
To allow for decision making on relationships we have
To ensure that communications to stakeholders is effective
Nothing more than you already do. We know that currently most departments maintain their own lists of people they talk to. All this is going to do is draw the information together to allow SLT, the Senate and the management team to see where we have links, how to manage those, and where to develop those areas we don't have.
SO WHAT DO I DO?
SO I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING?
BUT I SPEAK TO LOADS OF PEOPLE?
You might have to enter a record of your contacts on the central Stakeholder database. That's it. The training will go through how you do this, and how to put this material together.
That is what we are trying to capture. We are trying to understand and see who we speak to every day. It might be that you are in the Alumni office and have regular contact with hundreds of students, or you work in IT and only see the occasional outside company. Everyone has those contacts and has a part to play.
We just want to make sure that we can all help each other with this, and allow everyone to have clear responsibilities for who talks to who.
What we want is a map of all of our Stakeholders to see where we need to devote our time and attention in developing new relationships to grow the University
showing you how...
"So how do I take all the information I've got and put it on the system. How do I access and go about it?"
