Before we begin today we would like to thank you for having us.
Where to start ! Well we live in a small town called Vacy about 20 mins from the heart of Maitland in the Hunter Valley. We have three children James 9 Eva 6 and Brendan 1. We live on seven acres and have quite a few pets that include a dog, cat, chickens and goats. When we get spare time we enjoy our time at home and when we can get time to get away we like to take the jet ski and go up to Myall lakes with the family.
A bit more about us
Life is very busy for us and there is never a dull moment.
We work 6 days a week and every spare moment is either spent maintaining everything at home or spending quality time with our kids.
We are very fortunate to have family close by to allow us to do what we do.
We enjoy what we do.
We are in this for the long term our plan at this point in time is to do this until we retire.
Our Journey so far
Started our pool service business.
Opened store at Unit 4/33 Shipley Dr Rutherford
December opened second store at 22 Railway Avenue Thornton
Presently operating two stores
Once systems have been looked at and implemented we would ideally staff the business with at least two retail assistants and at least another one or two pool technicians. We would run ads on seek and linked in to find candidates. We are aware that we need to build our team.
Q: How do we plan to staff the business?
We see our area has having a lot of opportunities for growth.
The key areas we feel would be to be able to grow our list of commercial clients. Local area marketing for new sales and leads to get more people in store for water tests and re marketing to them after first visit into store. As some customers are still not fully aware that Thornton store has changed hands and old owners didn't have a great reputation. Another one would be spa repairs there are not a lot of spa repairers in our area and we can pretty much set our own pricing. Other key areas for growth would be email marketing to our email list and partnering with local pool builder for all maintenance and chemical supplies.
Q: What do we see as the key areas for growth?
Our vision of the first 3 to 5 years would be to have set down a solid base foundation for our business. Which would of allowed us enough growth to support multiple mobile technicians giving us a larger market share and a possible third outlet to really cement us as the pool and spa authority in our area. We would like systems in place so that if anything happens to one of us the business can still operate.
