Rutherford's Atomic Model
He Discovered the Nucleus.
Rutherford Overturned J.J Thomson's model by
conducting the Gold and Foil experiment. He did this
to observe the effect of the alpha particles matter.
Rutherford's hypothesis was that these particles
penetrate a thin metal foil. However, they may scatter
slightly because of the charge in the metal atom's
subatomic particles. After shooting the alpha particles,
he discovered that the atom has a tiny nucleus which
is positive and that the electrons scatter around
the nucleus. Rutherford disproved J.J Thomson's
model because he discovered the nucleus.
The Bohr Model
The bohr model improved rutherford's model by
proposing that electrons traveled about the nucleus
in orbit instead of begin scatter . NIels bohr argued that rutherford model theory was very unstable.Niels used the quantum theory to explain the stability of atom. Niels Bohr theory was that the electrons existed in set orbits around the nucleus was the key to periodic repetition of properties of element.
So he came up with the bohr model

The Quantum mechanical model
Erwins Schrodinger used and solved a mathematical equation to describe the behavior of the electron in a hydrogen atom. The quantum mechanical model restricts the energy of electrons to a certain value. Unlike the Bohr model, the quantum mechanical does not involve an exact path the electrons take around the nucleus.
The orbital quantum tells you the energy level the electron is in. 1=1 the second is 2
