A Science Presentation
Solstices occur when the sun is facing further-est South or North of the equator. The when sun is facing North, the Northern hemisphere receives a Summer solstice while the Southern hemisphere gets a Winter solstice. If the sun is south, the solstices happen vice versa.
Equinox's happen when the sun is lined up with the Equator. Then, all around the world length of day and night are even. This phenomena comes in the pair of Vernal (Spring) and or Autumnal (Fall).
Temperate zones are two regions on Earth at 23.5 and 66.5 degrees latitude/ northern and southern frigid zones. The temperatures here are generally relatively moderate rather than extremely hot or cold, and the seasons also have moderate temperature change.
Torrid Zones are also known as the Tropics. It is between the tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. These latitudes mark the northern and southern extremes of regions in which the sun directly passes overhead.
