Our task on this trip is to make the largest metropolitan area in the world, completely ours.
But how do we embark on such a project?
The key is to put aside an objective view and rather go for the subjective.
Tokyo will be a reflection of us and our Tokyo will be unique, just the way we are individuals.
Everything in this program might and will change as we go along. What is set down on these next pages are simple guidelines written on sand. The fun thing about traveling is the element of surprise.
After arriving, we head down to the mouth of the beast - Tokyo station - We'll explore its madness and balance it out with some prettiness from a bento box. Later there will be some exclamations of surprise at the rare gifts from a vending machine. We wind down through the streets as in a quaint oasis. Only to be brought back to the action in the old black market of Ameyoko and what to me is the hunted scene of hunger but also rebirth.
