This health food craze is not anything new. From the dawn of time, humans have been feasting on these little creatures to gain protein fast and at any time.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations estimates that two billion people, approximately a quarter of the world’s population eat bugs as a part of their standard diet.
The idea of introducing insects into the Western diet would have once seemed impossible but this movement toward global food tourism may provide the push.
