A one-day course exploring resilience and how to ensure our work places and relationships with colleagues are aware and supportive of resilience. Failure to develop resilience is to risk burn out, with higher levels of staff absence, lower performance and staff turnover. Paying attention to resilience pays off, for employees, managers and organisations.
The course introduces tools for supervising staff with resilience in mind, and tools for assessing the resilience of teams. It provides theoretical understanding of burn out and resilience with case studies from front line staff. It is a practical and meaningful course for organisations committed to Investing in People. It is suitable for Managers and Supervisors.
'Thank you so much for your session at our away-day. It was perfectly pitched! People really appreciated it and took a lot away from it – for further personal reflection and within our teams' (Scottish Government Director)

A 3 hour introduction to resilience – what it is, and how to ensure it is always there when you need it. Ever noticed how a bad day at work affects our home life, and a bad time at home affects our work life? Resilience is our ability to cope with stresses and challenges, and helps maintain us when life’s ups and downs threaten to knock us off balance, at home and at work. This course introduces tools to understand and maintain our own resilience, and be aware of the resilience of others around us.
'Comas’s resilience training was a real mind opener, it is incredibly reassuring to know that it’s not ‘just me’. Employee, Scottish Government
