Daisy and Tom are a married couple with extreme amounts of money and wealth
east and west egg , wealth. Mansions in long islands, trips to Europe for no reason.

"It's a bitch" said tom decisively. 'Here's your money. Go and buy ten more dogs with it' (pg.31-32)
Mrs.Wilson goes on buying things, when they're about to get in the cab sees puppies for sale, goes to buy one like it's nothing. Tom gets mad, throws money at her.

A symbol for this chapter would be the police
men because Gatsby got away do to the
power of his money.
The amounts of clothing he has when he shows Daisy and Nick when they go into his mantion.
The person buying clothes for Gatsby and sending it down from England at the beginning of each season with a wide verity of clothing to choose and wear from.
"Recovering himself in a minute he opened for us two hulking patent and ties, and his shirts piled like bricks in stacks a dozen high. (pg.97)
"I've got a man in England who buys me clothes.He sends over a selection of things at the beginning of each season, spring and fall." (pg97)

The bootleggers would have a large amounts of money do to the illegal business's of alcohol during that time period.
"I remarked. It's full of -' I hesitated "her voice is full of money; he said suddenly. That was it. I'd never understand it before."
Anything that came out of Daisy's mouth would relate to money.
"Gatsby was overwhelmingly aware of the youth and mystery that wealth imprisons and preserves, of the freshness of many clothes, and of Daisy, gleaming like silver, safe and proud above the hot struggles of the poor."
Shows how Daisy has all this wealth and power and doesn't have to worry about much. Anything goes wrong she comes back to her money and looks to feel above all others.
"They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made."
with wealth and power you can relying on your money to get away from majority of things and not have to deal with them.
In "The Great Gatsby" by F.Scott Fitzgerald the book symbolizes power. through out the book There was multiple parts with well being, having wealth, living in the biggest of homes, and having the biggest parties. Having so much money can bring you power. Tom and Daisy had all this money that they had the power to get away from almost anything they wanted to get away from. With money comes power and with power no one can touch you.
