The bubonic version of the plague would give you buboes on your groin neck and armpits, the pneumonic version would affect your lungs and you were "immediately infected" if you touched the dead
What was the disease like - how did witnesses describe it
Around 5000 of the then population of 7000 died. lots of priests died as they had been touching the infected people, so not because " God allowed the human race to be poisoned" as some believed

The population took 400 years to recover and there was a massive increase in food prices. It also made England more faithful to god and less likely to sin as they believed the disease was "at God's command"
