When it comes to sensitivity after 9/11 many reactions showed recovery such as:
People became less sensitive to these kind of events but that is for the better because these events are terrible and should be mourned and remembered but we should be more prepared to face them in the future.
People became more sensitive to death and realized how fragile life is so they started going to church
But there was also non-recovery aspects when it came to sensitivity such as:
People became more sensitive towards all Middle Eastern races making a large amount of people racist.
A lot of people became more sensitive towards what is on the news and what was shown in movies.
The events of 9/11 caused a lot of people to feel patriotic which inspired tourism at times.
Many people traveled to New York to visit Ground Zero which spiked a tourism rush in NY.
Some people were against tourism though after the events and it made some scared.
Some people became scared of the possibility of another attack making flying very unpopular for a year or so.
The U.S. became very sensitive to attacks and crimes, then made the TSA to combat it.
People stopped flying as much after the attacks due to some racism in the TSA.
New found respect and honor was found for our soldiers as well as police and firemen and women after the events of 9/11.
There was a new found respect for those who spend their lives trying to help other people.
But standards about how the people in our emergency services act started to arise.
The American culture became more patriotic after the events of 9/11.
Our culture also became more unified as a country and many people wanted to help the families and survivors of the events of 9/11.
There were some people though that damaged our cultural views or had very negative views on our culture.
A large group of people had a negative outlook on other races in the country.
Instead of having a view that embraces other cultures they became very hostile towards those other races.
Trust in the Government
After 9/11 the government tried it's best to find solutions and ways to fix the problems that arose.
A lot of people turned to the government without suggesting putting all of their faith into the government to find a resolution for terrorism.
President Bush addressed all of the issue the right way without being offensive or exclusive.
There were some people thought that turned to conspiracy theories that broke the trust in the government.
People thought the government was not doing enough and started to believe that 9/11 was some sort of inside job.
There will always be people that have conflicting opinions with the government no matter what.
