How We Are Fighting IT Debt
- Created a heat map forecasting End-of-Life infrastructure equipment in order to prioritize upgrades and replace outdated technology.
- Dedicated time to consolidating, re-architecting or re-configuring problematic infrastructure components.
- Utilizing cloud services to reduce on-premise platforms. As an example, the department no longer runs Exchange E-Mail Service and relies on Microsoft Exchange Online.
In My Own Words
To achieve excellence through the design, development, and deployment of distributed infrastructure systems resulting in highly available, efficient and effective use of information technology resources in support of each division’s business needs and consistent with the department’s mission.
