In a permanent Marker like a sharpie the nasty smell is organic chemicals such as: xylene, and then solvent of their choice such as: alcohol, ethanol or isopropanol, ethylene glycol monobutyl. There is at least propanol, butanol, and diacetone. Therefore resin or polymer is added as a "binder" (Binders are primary ingredients) that promotes adhesion. Permchrome ink has the alcohol but not glycol either. SO, THIS SHOWS THAT THIS PEN ISN'T EXACTLY ORGANIC, UNFORTUNATELY. These chemicals are dumped into rivers and disposed of incorrectly.
(Light Blue) Paint
bLACK PAINT WAS ORIGINATED BY SOUTH AFRICANS. A GROUP OF SOUTH AFRICAN ARCHEOLOGISTS DISCOVERED ONIX BLACK MARKINGS IN A BLOMBOS CAVE.
tHOSE WERE MADE OF THESE MORE INNOCENT MATERIALS:
Binders include synthetic or natural resins such as alkyds, acrylics, vinyl-acrylics, vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE), polyurethanes, polyesters, melamine resins, epoxy, silanes or siloxanes or oils. This shows that these paints are semi-chemicals and semi-natural. I cannot assure you that they are fair trade.
Materials~ Clasp envelope
Of course, Clasp Envelopes ahave heavily gummed flaps with very strong adhesive for another layer of security, and furthermore made of heavyweight paper. The heavyweight paper is made of trees, which is not good for the Enviorment.
Materials~ Blue String
String is most commonly made of cotton. Polyester, hemp, nylon and linen are also used to manufacture string. Strands of fibers are spun or twisted together to form string. The thickness of the string is determined by how many strands of fiber are spun together. Cotton, Polyester, hemp, nylon and linen have to be man-made. I cannot assure my string to be made of fair -trade products, but i know that it is semi-natural!
1️⃣️ Set Out Your Materials!
You should set out your materials because it is more organized and you can access them easily. It also helps with the steps so you can know what order you would like to use them in.😉
2️⃣️ Paint the clasp envelope
Here you have to Paint the clasp ENVELOPE. How did you know? If you want an ombre pattern, You have to follow these instructions:
6. Coat the third fourth of the envelope with the third darkest paint in the selection
7. Leave the fourth piece the same color.
1. Set aside four portions of the light blue paint.2. Mix one with a glob of black paint, one with a bit less, and another with a very, very small amount.
3. Paint the entire envelope with the lightest shade
4. Coat the top fourth of the envelope with a few layers of the darkest paint in the selection.
5. Coat the halfway mark with the second-darkest paint in the selection.
3️⃣️ Design The Case!
here's the fun part...designing the case! for my case, the idea is this:
*insert picture of sketch book page*
So, you can see the peace sign and then my name above it.
You can Do the same, but with your name on it! You can also add a bunch of fun designs like this-->
4️⃣️ PUNCH HOLES and insert the string!
Here you use a hole puncher to punch holes in the top of the clasp envelope, and thread the string through them.
But, You have to follow these steps to do it correctly.
3. Push the blue strings through the holes, and tie each one into a knot.
1. Pinch the top left of the clasp envelope together, tightly.
2. Slip the whole puncher where your fingers are, (But take your fingers away!) and punch the holes. Repeat this step on the top right corner.
The Pattern, Sizes and ideas
Where did i get my ideas?
So, I got those ideas from my name.
Yeah, i know it's surprising, but my name
means peace. I thought: Well, How about I
Put a peace sign to signify that it is mine! So,
I did just that. I also decided to put my name above
the peace sign just to show people that it's mine if it gets lost.
How did My plan go? wHAT HAD i DONE TO CHANGE IT?
iN THE BEGINNING, WHEN i STARTED MY PLAN, i WAS THINKING THE SAME COLORS, BUT A DIFFERENT DESIGN. fOR EXAMPLE: i DIDN'T REALLY WANT THE OMBRE BACKGROUND, AND i WANTED TO PRACTICALLY COVER MY CASE IN DESIGNS. wHAT i CHANGED WAS CHOOSING THE OMBRE BACKGROUND, AND DECIDING TO PUT FEWER DESIGNS, AND CHANGE THE DESIGNS.
