There was once a Shepherd who owned and looked after 100 sheep
One day one of the sheep went missing
Instead of replacing the Lost Sheep the Shepherd left his 99 other sheep in order to find it
I will come back, don't worry!
The Shepherd searched everywhere and when he finally found the Lost Sheep he was filled with joy!
At last I have found you!
The Shepherd returned the Lost Sheep home before inviting his finds over and exclaiming "Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep."
The meaning of this parable is to show that even if we turn away from God and sin, he will always be there for us and ready to forgive us for what wrong we have done. In the parable we as God's followers are depicted a sheep and the shepherd is a representation of God. This parable explains to us how much God cares for us and will never try to forget or replace us if we ever go astray.
