I have one cat, his name is Leo but I call him Nightmare Baby because he has no boundaries and enjoys causing havoc wherever he goes. His recent activities have been drinking out of my water glasses, shredding squirrels, and attacking my arms at any attempt of affection.
At my dad's house, I don't have any real pets. However, my dad always keeps cat food in the house for us to feed the neighborhood cats. One of them comes multiple times per day.
Zines are independently produced magazines, usually handmade and made in batches of 10-1000 copies. I am the author of several Zines, and I sell them through an art store in Lawrence called Wonder Fair. My Zines usually cover topics like music, activism in the LGBTQ+ community, and my own personal experiences with both of those things. I love to buy Zines to support other independent local artists and creators, and sometimes we even trade. I learned about Zines through a music and activism camp in Lawrence, which is the same place I met my bandmates.
One of my main hobbies is music. I play keyboard and sing in my band, LK Ultra.
I collect a few different items, including 8-track tapes, CDs, crystals, and Zines. I guess I'm what you'd call a "Minimalist" collector, because I don't actively seek out the things I collect, I just happen to accumulate ones that I really like over time. Right now I've got three 8-track tapes, about 7 or 8 CDs, 10 or so crystals, and 23 zines. I try to get all of the things I buy from local artists and businesses.
I go to Lawrence every weekend to see my dad and all my friends. One of the places my friends and I like to go is The Levee, which is an area by the river that has a bridge and some rocks. I've gone there with my dad since I was really little, and I've recently started going a lot more often. It's only a ten minute walk from where I live, so It's not to difficult to get to.
I love being in Lawrence because I can walk to get everywhere, and it's where my band is located. To me, Lawrence feels a lot more lively and interesting than where I live most of the time in Prairie Village.
