Once Nick finally returns home after spending the day in the city with Jordan, Gatsby Tries to butter up Nick to make sure Daisy will come.
‘If it wasn’t for the mist we could see your home across the bay,’ said Gatsby. ‘You always have a green light that burns all night at the end of your dock. . . .’
Once Nick leaves for a couple minutes, He is astonished to come back to find Gatsby and daisy chatting pleasantly .
