1. VEGETABLE CULTIVATION
Cultivation of vegetables by NHGs, the cultivated vegetables will be collected and marketed. Different types of vegetables are packed in two kilo packets and delivered to houses once in three days. For this a marketing network has to be formed. Activity groups consisting of five persons carry out the cultivation throughout the year.Latet trends in agriculture ,viz hydroponics,aquaponics,polyfarming etc,hould also be implemented on an experimental basis.
Soft loans should be given to the groups for buying cows.Cattle feeds should be made available to the groups at lower costs.Effective measures should be taken for the collection and distribution of milk.Training should be made available to the groups for making milk products.
Skill development plays an important role in women empowerment.Training centers should be established at district level. Training should be provided to groups and their service should be made available to various assembling units.The assembling units include electrical ,electronics ,mechanical components etc
The role of waste management is to turn waste into non-waste.Setting up of recycling plants-byproducts must be sold as a source of income .Bio-gas plants should be supplied at district levels. Government agencies should use the service of these groups at various government institutions and functions .
Soft loans and fishes should be supplied to the group.Expert training and advcie should be given to the groups.Setting up of fish processing units to be prioratised. Fishes for farming include tout ,tilapia etc

Groups decide the eligibility of a member to get assistance from the bank after discussions and assessment of the need and repayment capacity.
Group behind the informal bank is free to fix market driven rates of interest for advances
Bank can provide collateral free loans with the terms and conditions decided by the group and members can deposit even trifle amount in the thrift scheme of the banks.
Can approach the informal banks whenever necessity occurs- banks should be open 24x7
Thrift and Credit Societies are set up at Neighbourhood (NHG) level

In charge of the basic infrastructure needs of
the NHG such as housing, sanitation, drinking water, drainage, etc.
To identify all potential agencies , departments and
organizations to be engaged in promotion of self employment activities .
Responsible for all the health related activities of the
NHG like immunization, maternal care, child care, nutrition and propagation of ideas like
cleanliness , hygiene, etc.
Each NHG prepares an action plan on the basis of the needs of the member households of
the NHG .
Neighbourhood group is the association of 20 to 40 women members , belonging to high risk families
. NHG elect a Resident Community
Volunteer , a President and three Community Volunteers among themselves . Community Volunteers are designated as
Community Health Volunteer, Community Infrastructure Volunteer and Community
Income Generating Volunteer.
AREA DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY(ADSs)
. The executive committee of ADS meets every month to evaluate the activities and integrate the records of members, activities and accounts of all the NHGs in the respective ward.
Formed of 10 -15 NHGs and five
member committee of all the NHGs constitutes the governing body of the ADS .The ADS has a Chairperson , a Vice chairperson and 7 other members.
ADS has its linkage with local government to ensure their activities in tune with the policy framework of the former.It has to report various activities of each NHG and submit their relevant documents related to finance and administration to CDSs.
Identifies individual and group ventures that can be set up by NHGs and provide training. It also facilitate in getting banking linkages after grading them based on the strength of each NHG
ADS consolidates micro plan at ward level by incorporating the project ideas of each NHG.
ADS coordinates and monitors the operations of NHGs in the respective wards of local government. It evaluates the thrift and credit operations of each NHG and provides proper guidance
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY(CDSs)
It takes loan and distributes to each NHG or its members under bank linkage scheme.It identifies uncultivated land and facilitates the lease farming.It ensures the annual auditing of all the NHGs and ADSs.
It initiates activities in identifying entrepreneurs for starting micro enterprises and assists in developing their project ideas. It explores the possibilities for making facilities under schemes of various government, semi government and non-government agencies available to NHGs.
Monitors the thrift and credit activities of all NHGs .The executive meeting of CDS evaluates and appraises the various activities of NHGs.
Chairpersons, Vice chairperson and Members of all the ADSs form the General body of the Community Development
Community Development Society is the apex body at the town level and is the coordinating agency for programmee implementation.
