Teach Peace Development
Teach Peace Development Team identifies potential school sites in countries effected by child soldier recruitment.
Tools for Success
Prevention in Practice
The team will review the standardized curriculum that has been created to ensure relevancy, and make adjustments if needed.
Working in collaboration with teachers at host sites, team trainers will deliver specialized training with a focus on strategies, tactics and best practices to prevent the recruitment and use of child soliders within their communities.
In addition to targeted training, teachers will recieve a tangible tool kit to facilitate lessons with their students. Kits will include curriculum and lesson plans, and materials such as paper, art supplies, games and puzzles. The goal is for teachers to have the tools
necessary to make these
important lessons meaningful
The focus of these missions is to be proactive in addressing the global issue of the recruitment of children as weapons of war. In educating local teachers, many of which are a first point of contact for these vulnerable populations, we can strive to equip teachers with the skills, knowledge and tools that will help children protect themselves.
