FOUR INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES
Students rehearse the material for the winter concert. The instructor constantly connects the concert rep with sight singing skills so that students can develop the skill of independent learning.
Sight Singing - Kinesthetic Aid
Students use the Kodaly hand signs to kinesthetically internalize the pitches they see on the board in the form of music notations. This helps students audiate.
Sight Singing Exercise - Visual Aid
Three homophonic parts are written on the board, each in a different color, to visually aid students as to where they should be in the music.
for an inclusive choral ensemble
