Mueller investigation is expected to continue will into 2019 due to delayed sentencing of Michael Flynn
Trump's nomination for the next attorney general wrote a memo to Justice Department criticizing Mueller's investigation "for a “fatally misconceived” legal theory of how President Trump may have obstructed justice."
Trump states "It was a total phony story, and I appreciate the special counsel coming out with a statement last night,” later stating “I think it was very appropriate that they did so. I very much appreciate that” in response to the an article released by Buzzfeed.
In a CNN interview Giuliani stated" "You just misstated my position," "I never said there was no collusion between the campaign! Or between the people in the campaign." Later stating ""I have not. I said the president of the United States -- there is not a single bit of evidence the president of the United States committed the only crime you could commit here: conspired with the Russians to hack the DNC."
Barr states that the investigation has concluded and "that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.” A statement was also made by top Justice Department official stating the investigation “did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated” with Russia.

Trump states “It was a complete and total exoneration,” "It's a shame that our country had to go through this." Later stating "To be honest, it's a shame that your president has had to go through this. Before I even got elected, it began. And it began illegally.”
Giuliani states “he would like to see the Mueller report released in its entirety" in response to The New York Times’ sources for stating that concerns were raised by "members of Mueller’s team that the report was more damning of Trump than Barr has publicly indicated." Later staing that the "leak really indicates all you need to know about Mueller’s prosecutors,” Giuliani said on the Times’ unnamed sources. “Leaking like that…that’s been the biggest canard in this investigation.”

Trump states that he was informed by deputy attorney general Rod J. Rosenstein "that he was not a target of the special counsel investigation into Russia’s election interference and whether any Trump associates conspired with it."
