Caraga Region- An administrative region of the Philippines, on the northeastern portion of the island of Mindanao. The Caraga Region was created through the Republic Act No. 7901 on February 23, 1995.

Cebuano is dominantly spoken followed by Boholano and Illongo. Of the native tongues, Manobo dialect is the most popular. Other popular dialects are the Hiligaynon, Butuanon, Surigaonon and Kamayo.
Employment in agriculture, fishery and forestry constitute the highest percentage in all the sector groups.
Majority of the inhabitants of the region are of Visayan lineage. The ethnic residents include the Manobo (294,284 or 43.55% of the total population of ethnic minorities) , Mamanwa, Kamayo, Higa-onon, Banwaon, Umayamnon
