The benefits of joining Georgia Technology Student Organization is that it encourages students to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and technically literate leaders in a high tech society. Also the inspiration and enthusiasm that the students gain from receiving recognition for applying their knowledge. It helps with enhancing technological literacy and leadership skills.
They offer up to 60 STEM competitions that you get to compete on national level with examples being 3D Animation, Animatronics, Architectural Design, Biotechnology Design, and Chapter Team. 3D Animation is where three teams of two demonstrate their ability in and knowledge in 3D animation and design skills to solve a challenge posted on the national TSA page. Biotechnology Design is where three teams of two select a biotechnology problem and then show research in showing that they know the subject and find a solution to the problem, by showing a prototype or display and then show a multimedia presentation.
TSA members all around the country participated in a fundraiser with the American cancer society to help fund the research, education, advocacy, and patient services from the American cancer society
Work Based Learning (WBL)
Work Based Learning is a educational program that helps students with real-life work experience were they can apply academic and technical skills to develop their employ ability. It include informal, formal, and non formal arrangements it includes apprenticeships work placement and informal learning on the job.
