The Almaty Marathon is an annual marathon race held on last Saturday of April in Almaty city, Kazakhstan. The first race happened in 2012, had 2500 total participants, it grew to more than 14,000 participants in 2018. Anyone wishing to participate pays a starting fee in the amount of 3 to 6 thousand tenge ($8 USD - $16 USD). Part of the funds goes for charity. Moreover, all the participants who cross the finish line will receive a finisher medal.
Almaty Marathon is the largest sports event in Central Asia and from 2013 it's been a member of the international association AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races). The tracks of the city Marathon are approved by AIMS and IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) rules and have the class “B” which means something such as an event, activity, or session characterized by a great length.

Almaty Marathon are not looking for funding support from AntsPro, we want to have a year-round partnership that will focus on app development for mobile phones and smartwatches. As we live in the 21 century, everyone is using their mobile phones and smartwatches to track their health and distance, especially athletes. Nowadays young population like to track their steps daily.
Smartwatch sales in Kazakhstan grew rapidly, especially for sports use. The chart above (right) shows sales of smartwatches in Kazakhstan from 2016-2018, which reveals to us a big concernment in smartwatches among citizens. The chart above (left) shows the most popular brand of smartwatches in Kazakhstan, in order of that, we will focus mostly on working with these brands.

Our idea is to create an app which will be promoted by Almaty Marathon, as it will help runners and their families to track the race, additionally it will show kilometers (runner already run and what left), it will automatically show runner’s position, running time, calories burned, heartbeat, and map.
Also, it won't be used only for a one-day marathon, as it will have special training modes for helping runners prepare for the race. In addition, the organizers conduct a number of seasonal and thematic races, which are preparatory starts for the spring marathon and through the app will be notified of all “preparation” races. Provide runners an opportunity to use this app for races listed before as well.

The main audience of the marathon tends to be athletes and ordinary citizens of the city. Commonly, it is not necessary for people involved in the marathon to be an athlete. However, each participant should be in good physical condition to be able to perform well during the session and undergo the whole distance. The age of participants start from 10 years and up. In 2019, the oldest participant recorded was 82 years old man. These marathons are mostly focused on Almaty citizens, nevertheless in 2019 Almaty Marathon attracted runners from 12 different countries, which were mainly from post-soviet union and cities located nearby Almaty.
1) Logo Recognition on Merchandise and Venue.
Each year Almaty Marathon sell special merchandises such as t-shirts, cups, bottles, backpacks, and cups. People can order them online or buy it on the day of the event. AntsPro has an opportunity to put the logo on Almaty Marathon merchandise. It will increase brand awareness.
2) Banners with the Logo.
Banners with the Logo of Sponsors, including AntsPro, will be installed throughout the Race. Each sponsor will have their own banner, which will alternate throughout the distance. The main one will be located on the banner at the start. On the picture below AntsPro logo is located at the top of the banner on 2 sides.

3) Social Media Awareness.
Promotion on Almaty Marathon’s social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube. Almaty Marathon has a good amount of followers. Additionally, AntsPro will be reference with all sponsors on the official website with linking on AntsPro website and other social platforms. From our media partners, AntsPro will be mentioned on TV and newsletters for free, as they are our media partners. It will bring more followers and recognition to AntsPro social media pages.
4) Stand for Charging Mobile Devices.
During the marathon, some people will need to charge their mobile devices. AntsPro is known as IT company, Almaty Marathon offers to put stands with chargers for different devices, with AntsPro logo on it, with the result that attendees can charge their phones for free. It will be easy to build. There won’t be any needs to invest a big amount of money. There only needs to have a small tent, flags, boxes, and chargers. 5) LED Screen with the Online Translation of Race.
During the Almaty Marathon, some families and friends might come to watch the race and support runners. So, there is a need to put an LED screen, for spectators. AntsPro is knowing as an IT company it would be a perfect activation match. We could put the logo and name of the website on the top of the screen, it will bring attention to AntsPro. The purpose of the LED screen is to broadcast the race, especially finish line. We are planning to put the LED screen at the finishing point (stadium) because most of the spectators will stay there and wait for runners to finish. The stadium is big and it is impossible for supporters to see runners finishing the race, so the LED screen will help to solve this problem.
