Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland as Clive Staples Lewis. Family was protestant and throughout his works can draw many parrallels to Irish culture.
The life of:
Attended three colleges, Campbell, Malvern and University college in Oxford.
Three years after the start of WWI Lewis enlisted. He was injured than later discharged in 1919.
"Death in battle" was Lewis first official publication in a local newspaper. This chronicled tales of the war he just experienced and what life was like during this awful time.
