This was the Original date for the invasion, but cloud coverage wasn't in our favor so we had to wait.
The intention of Operation Perch was to encircle and seize the German-occupied city of Caen, a major Allied objective in the early stages of the invasion of north-west Europe. Fierce German resistance and miscommunication among the British top-brass inhibited the operation, before its objectives were finally achieved.
The invasion of Normandy begins at 0630. In Burma, Nationalist Chinese forces cut all Japanese-controlled sections of the Burma Road.

Ships have finaly gotten close and are providing cover for the troops on the beach

Troops are masacered by german machine gun fire, very few make it to saftey
Hitler thinks that the allies will be pushed back into the sea and that they shoulden't be worried, but commanders are concerned that this is a diversion and a real invasion will occur elsewere, which is just lies from the allies
The beaches are getting more and more active as more ships drop off even more troops
Planes are attempting to help the allies but the German tanks are still pushing towards and threatening the troops.
