Muscle tone is tight and stiff (hypertonia) which results in a decreased range of movements. The tightness can lead to muscle spasm.
Muscle tone varies between stiffness and floppiness (hypotonia) causing random, uncontrolled body movements. May have with speech and sitting.
Issues with balance and coordination with poor spatial awareness. This leads to clumsy and jerky movements.
