In 1913, Henry Ford designed the moving assembly line. He also was the inventor of the first car. The assembly line helped him create the cars faster.
The Jungle and Meat Packing
The Food and Drug Act was first passed in 1906. They used the Food and Drug act to protect the people from the dead animals and inhumane things in the food. The Jungle was a book written by Upton Sinclair about the harsh conditions in Chicago.
On August 26, 1920 the 19th Amendment in the Constitution was finally ratified. The Amendment Granted Women the right to vote just like the men in the country.
The New Deal
The New Deal was a programs during the Great depression that helped the US. FDR wanted to help the people get job and be financially stable.

The fair labor act established minimum wage for the working person. It also established overtime, recordkeeping and child labor standards.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13 day confrontation between the US and the Soviet Union. The United States found out that the Soviet Union was making nuclear weapons in Mexico. We did not want to have to deal with an attack.

The Fair Housing Act helped house all people no matter their skin color. The African Americans normally did not get the opportunity to buy houses.

9/11 was four terrorist attacks in the United States. The Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda killed 2,996 people.
