Before posting a picture of last night's party, evaluate on how that would destroy your profile in the work force. Always think of the outcomes that may affect the future before acting apon something.
Setting a good, positive example for others will help over come the need for teens to feel pressured to behave destructively.
Adolescents eventually will admire those who differ from the rest of the pack, being positive in a unique way gives a sense of one's individuality.
Adolesents often feel the need to constantly be accepted, and will do anything for acceptance.
Adolesents fear being left out due to how unsettling it is, so teens feel pressured to please their peers.
New risky experiences may seem appealing to teenagers.
Adolesents want to be considered "cool", so they might parake in an activity that will give them that label.
Be A Leader
Peer pressure is a social force that can drive an individual to participate in an activity that may be questionable. Peers often have the feeling of superiority when they have certain characteristics, materialistic items, or privileges. Adolescents may feel left out or not "cool" if they lack any of these subjects due to its' popularity in their social group. In order to "fit in" adolescents feel the need to do whatever they can to grasp the feeling of social belonging.

Peers, no matter the age, have influential power over the people they affiliate on a daily basis. Staying away from negative peer pressure is not always the easiest thing to do. People often long for acceptance in adolescent years, but partaking in risky behaviors can how one feels about them self, or encounter serious consequences.

True Friends will always be accepting and admiring to a person's true self. Putting on a fake personality shows insecurity, and most people do not want to be around a person who is not genuine. Being a positive influence will affect the lives of other's, and staying away from negative influences will eliminate the temptation of peer pressure by a landslide. Some people pressure other's to change characteristics about one's self, and to avoid these problems, it is best to not associate with those types of people.
