Who is Eric Clary? As a former medic and dental lab technician in the U.S. Army, Clary was a lifeline to soldiers in Iraq. But he was also their barber. Having started cosmetology school before deployment in 2008, he could give a decent buzzcut in the barracks. Since leaving the war, he has used lessons from his service to become a successful businessman. Now, he co-owns Greenville's Old Crow Barbershop.
Best haircut? "All of them."
The Punk Rocker
Who is Bryan Eugene? After burning out as a graphic designer, Eugene decided to find a new creative outlet. When he went for his two-week haircut "ritual" with his dad in 2008, the barber told him to cut hair as a creative outlet. Eugene then enrolled in cosmetology school and found a new canvas. Now, he's a co-owner of Greenville's Old Crow Barbershop. Oh, and did we mention that he's in a punk rock band called CHUNx.
Best haircut? "I love low tapers."
The New Guy
Who is Joshua McCoy? Also a former graphic designer, McCoy left the industry after being laid off. He then pursued a career in hair at Kenneth Schuler School of Cosmetology and met Eric Clary. After receiving certification in 2014, McCoy worked with Eugene and Clary at The Barbershop on Mohawk Drive in Greenville. Unhappy, he left and started his own shop in Spartanburg. Meanwhile, Clary and Eugene's Old Crow Barbershop was getting overcrowded. They called McCoy and decided to bring him onboard in February.
Best haircut? "Military cuts. High and tights."
