The UN stands for the United Nations. The UN is an international organization that maintains peace and security. The first UN meeting was held in January 1 in 1942,it was founded in October 24, 1945 at Lake Success, New York after World War II.
UN Flag and Headquarters
Flag: The flag of the UN is a white emblem (world map surrounded by two olive branches) on a blue background. The first version of the UN Flag was introduced at April 1945.
Headquarters: The UN headquarters are located at New York City. It was built in 1949.

Total # of UN Members: There are 193 United Nation member states, and each of them is a member of the United Nations General Assembly.
Official UN languages: There are six official languages of the UN. These are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
