Composition of E-Cigarettes
E-cigarette aerosol has already been found to contain at least ten chemicals that are on California’s Proposition 65 list of cancer-causing chemicals, and toxins leading to birth defects and reproductive harms.
In 2016, the Surgeon General concluded that e-cigarette use among youth is now a significant public health concern and steps must be taken by parents, educators and policymakers to discourage the use of it.
Delivered in high doses, nicotine can be lethal, and ingesting some e-liquids can lead to poisoning.
